We offer a variety of Specialty Classes designed to support your training journey and strengthen the bond with your dog. Whether you’re looking for fun activities, confidence-building exercises, opportunities to apply skills in real-world scenarios, or advanced training options, we have the perfect class for you and your canine companion!

Obstacles Training

Our Obstacles Training class is a fun and exciting relationship-building opportunity for you and your dog. It helps your dog build their confidence by learning how to navigate different obstacles in our outdoor training space.

Skills Include:

  • Lead your dog over and through different obstacles
  • Improve your handling and communication
  • Improve your dog’s focus, confidence, coordination, and fitness
  • Build your relationship and trust!

Obstacle Training includes 4 one-hour group classes that take place at the same time every week at Tumblewood Canine. Maximum 4 dogs per class!

Price: $240+HST for 4-week course. Includes free Adventure Walks for the duration of your course.

Pup Meets World

The Pup Meets World course is designed to apply the skills learned in Puppy Kindergarten to real-life situations. Each class offers a chance to boost your puppy’s confidence in everyday environments, and also to practice their manners in the real world.

This course covers the following topics:

  • Explore different environments and surfaces
  • Grow confidence in different situations
  • Fear-free vet visit
  • Introductory visit to a groomer
  • Greetings with people and other dogs
  • Improve focus and attention on handler
  • Remain calm with distractions

Prerequisite: Puppy Kindergarten or equivalent. This course is not appropriate for dogs with reactivity or that already have an aversion to vets or groomers.

The Pup Meets World course includes 4 one-hour group classes that take place once a week at various locations in Rockwood and/or Acton. Maximum 4 dogs per class.

Price: $290+HST for 4-week course. Includes free Puppy Socials and Adventure Walks for the duration of your course.

Canine Good Neighbour Prep Course

The Canine Good Neighbour Prep Course is an advanced course that covers everything you need to know to earn your CGN Title with your dog. Not only that, but all of the skills learned in class will be beneficial for a well rounded, well mannered canine citizen. The class will be fast-paced and is designed to challenge you and your dog in a positive and constructive way.

Skills Include:

  • Polite greetings with all kinds of people
  • Loose leash walking with distractions
  • Walking through a crowd (various locations)
  • Long sit-stays and down-stays
  • “Wait” and “OK” cues
  • Stand for exam
  • Recall
  • And More

Prerequisite: Level-1 and Level-2 Obedience program, or equivalent. Must be approved by one of our instructors to be eligible to sign up for this course.

The CGN Prep Course includes 6 one-hour group classes that take place the same time every week. The first 4 classes take place at Tumblewood Canine, and the last two classes take place at Rockmosa Park in Rockwood. Maximum 4 dogs per class!

Price: $400+HST for 6-week course. Includes free Adventure Walks for the duration of your course.

Cooperative Care Seminar

The Cooperative Care Seminar is a practical, hands-on seminar that teaches you and your dog positive handling and care. We will teach you how to build your dog’s confidence around brushing, nail trimming, wellness checks, and more. Our goal is to help you prepare your dog for grooming visits, vet visits, and basic handling at home. This seminar is perfect for rescue dogs, dogs that are nervous at the vet or groomer, or anyone who would like their dog to have a positive association with all types of handling.

Skills Include:

  • The basics of placement and sitting/standing for exam
  • Solid stays and relaxation
  • Confidence building around various veterinary and grooming tools
  • Positive association to touch
  • Nail trimming demonstration

The Cooperative Care Seminar is a 2-hour class that takes place at Tumblewood Canine. Maximum 4 dogs per class.

Price: $120+HST for the 2-hour seminar.
