Our puppy training courses offer a positive learning environment where you can lay the foundation for your puppy to develop important life skills, and start your relationship and training off on the right foot. We use different exercises and activities to help you build your bond with your puppy, address common puppy behaviours, establish good manners, lay the proper foundation for further training, and provide the opportunity to socialize your puppy with different dogs, people and environments.

Socials

The key to success in any training plan includes proper socialization, exercise, and practice. We offer a variety of social activities to help you meet these needs, so you have the tools you need to reach your training goals.

Puppy Socials

Puppy Socials are for puppies up to 20 weeks of age, and provide an opportunity for them to socialize with other puppies and develop appropriate play skills. During each social we work on a variety of skills including proper introductions with other puppies, recalls away from a play group, allowing well matched puppies to play together, calm and focus on you in the presence of other puppies, and allowing puppies to explore different surfaces, textures and obstacles.

Depending on the weather socials can take place either in our outdoor training space or our indoor training facility. We will do our best to match puppies by size and play style.

Every Thursday 4:00pm-4:45pm $25+hst Registration is required, no drop-ins.

Adventure Walks

Adventure Walks are for friendly and social dogs and puppies of any age. They are designed to help you exercise your dog, allow your pup to socialize and play with other dogs, as well as build their confidence by letting them meet different people and dogs, explore new environments, and overcome obstacles. During each Adventure Walk, we go for a hike on our forested property (either off leash or on a long line). During the walk we will encourage important skills such as building confidence in new environments, good manners (e.g. no jumping), appropriate play with other dogs, and regular “check-ins”.

Your dog must be friendly with other dogs. Please make sure to dress for the weather and wear appropriate clothing and footwear (i.e. hiking boots).
